Alcohol, pranks, embarrassing fancy dress, nightclubs and yes, more alcohol – your stag do is going to be a big night if you go by tradition. One day you will look back and (hopefully) laugh, but it may be a bumpy ride. Last Night of Freedom reveals what your pals may have in store for you.

1. Compulsory fancy dress

It’s customary for the stag to be dressed up in some sort of embarrassing get-up, so be prepared to stand out like a sore thumb on your stag party. Whatever theme your mates have thought of – from funny to outrageous and just downright ridiculous – you will be hitting the town with a very red face. Last Night of Freedom offer a range of suitably cringe worthy costumes for the groom-to-be, modelled by their very own #ShamelessModel. Browse at your peril here.

2. Pranks

Don’t be surprised if you get stitched up by your mates on your stag do. The laughs will be at your expense – expect anything from being gaffer-taped to a lamppost, to getting ‘professionally’ kidnapped. Afraid? You’ve got every right to be. Take a look at some of the more extreme pranks these fellas were subject to here.

3. A stripper might (read definitely) be involved

Don’t be alarmed if a private lap dance or stripper is arranged as part of your stag party. It is tradition, after all, and who are we to argue with tradition?

4. You will be humiliated

The extent of your humiliation depends on how creative and imaginative your mates are. If you have infamously inventive friends, you have every reason to be worried.

5. You will be very drunk

Drinking copious amounts of alcohol is going to be a big part of your weekend. That’s a fact. Whether it is drinking games, dirty pints, Jägerbombs, shots or all of the above, expect a horrific hangover the next day.

6. There will be no time for recovery

Your friends won’t take any prisoners on your stag party, so if you think you will be able to sleep off the hangover the next day, think again. If you imagine downing pints of beer for breakfast, you’re on the right lines.

7. Expect adrenaline-pumping activities

The clue is in the name.  A stag do would not be a proper stag do without a macho itinerary. White-water rafting, paintballing, go-karting or operating dangerous weaponry may make it on the list.

8. You might end up with a bald patch

Stag groups know no boundaries, seriously. Just make sure you’ve left enough time between the stag do and the big day to grow back any missing hair.
