Bijou Wedding Venues' Tip of the Month: Booking a last-minute wedding
01 Nov 2018
A last-minute wedding should not pose a problem; take heed in this preparatory advice from the experts at Bijou Wedding Venues
There are numerous reasons to book a wedding date for the future; some couples wish to save the money, others plan for a specific season or date, and others may simply want to enjoy a long engagement. However, there’s nothing wrong in wanting to book a wedding within the next six months. You’ll still get to plan everything exactly the same as you would if you were planning a wedding for 18 months down the line, and you’ll certainly get to enjoy your honeymoon sooner.
Specialist wedding venues will have the experience to help you plan your wedding at the last-minute. The Bijou Wedding Venues Team invite couples to a meeting (regardless of how long they have to plan their day), to discuss exactly how they want to their celebration to be. An additional meeting to taste sample menu options is also booked, followed by a final meeting to ensure every detail has been communicated between the couple and the team. Communication is key between any couple and their chosen wedding venue.
Top Tip: Wedding venue teams will be used to helping couples plan and organise weddings with without much notice.
If you’re worried about booking wedding suppliers at the last-minute, don’t be. There are multiple wedding photographers, florists, cake designers and hair stylists to help bring your wedding day together, and when it comes to wedding attire, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Hit the high street if you’re in a serious hurry, or, if you have several months to plan, visit local bridalwear shops as it's more than likely you’ll be able to buy a dress off the rack.
Top Tip: You probably won’t need to send save the date cards, but you should be able to find a supplier to create last-minute wedding stationery for you. Or, consider designing and ordering wedding invitations online.
Planning hen/stag parties shouldn’t be too difficult, and a big honeymoon can wait – but a local mini-moon is a must and can be planned with ease.
Once you’ve found a venue with an available date, the rest of your last-minute wedding plans should fall perfectly in to place.
