Ceremonies and receptions
Licensed for civil ceremonies, Colshaw Hall presents two breathtaking spaces for your ceremony and reception.
The Stables feature leaded windows, oak beams and marble flooring for a striking aesthetic during your wedding ceremony. Couples are invited to dress the space in their own colour scheme and theme for that personal touch. For the wedding breakfast, wedding parties can retire to the Peel Suite. Hire of this space includes tables and banquet chairs, table plan easel, audio visual equipment and a bar and music licence until 12.30am.
Optional extras for your wedding package, which the team at Colshaw Hall can arrange, include: a stage, specialised linen/napkins and an ivory carpeted aisle for your ceremony. A Rolls-Royce Ghost wedding car complete with uniformed chauffeur, acrylic plinths for your flowers or centrepieces, garden games, a light-up dance floor and a selfie mirror are also available at an additional cost.
During your wedding reception, guests are permitted to explore the grounds of Colshaw Hall which are well maintained all year round. The Japanese-style garden with miniature lake and bridge is a gorgeous photographic opportunity, as is the Magnolia Garden and Walled Garden. With more than 300 acres of private land, Colshaw Hall is a venue that prides itself on its rural appeal.
Guests will be able to relax and reenergise during their stay in the homely accommodation options available. There are seven luxury en-suite bedrooms in the house (including the bridal suite) as well as self-contained accommodation on-site.
The contemporary and cosy Courtyard Cottages provide seven additional double bedrooms and are centred around a small courtyard. Choose from Colshaw, Merrydale, Blease or Newhall Cottage which offer varying room set-ups. Televisions, towels, toiletries, and tea and coffee making facilities are included in each cottage.
Alternatively, the Irlam Lodge and two Eco Lodges are located at the top of the Colshaw Hall driveway and set within a woodland area for an extra peaceful retreat. Irlam Lodge is the ideal place for the bride to spend the night with her bridesmaids the night before the wedding, sleeping up to four guests and featuring two bedrooms, a kitchen, a spacious living room and family-sized bathroom. The two Eco Lodges sleep up to two people and as well as a bedroom, shower room and kitchen area, also feature a small outside decking area to fully enjoy the exclusive setting.
A cooked breakfast for up to 36 overnight guests can be served in the Orangery the morning after the wedding, allowing newlyweds the perfect opportunity to meet up with their guests before they depart.
