So we wondered… why aren’t we shouting about them?
Every week we bring Bride followers a Supplier of the Week and this week it is the turn of Great Yarmouth Town Hall.
Great Yarmouth’s beautifully refurbished Victorian Town Hall, at the head of historic South Quay, is the perfect location for your wedding day with five, airy, spacious rooms for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and receptions.
The Grade I listed building has many beautiful original features dating back to the late 1800s and its recent refurbishment using heritage paint colours has accentuated buffed oak panelling, magnificent oil paintings in gilt frames, polished wooden floors and stained glass windows.
The stunning, high-vaulted Assembly Room can host up to 200 guests for ceremonies or receptions with a full catering kitchen and an integral bar, as well as an optional dancefloor. The airy Supper Room can seat up to 70 people for a ceremony or up to 50 guests for a wedding breakfast. Named after Great Yarmouth’s French twin town, the Rambouillet Room, with beautiful view over Hall Quay, holds up to 30 guests for a ceremony. The Council Chamber is an unusual, alternative venue for your wedding ceremony.
The central atrium has a glass roof, glass lift and beautiful stained glass windows on the grand staircase, frequently used for wedding photographs with plenty of space for all your guests. Together with the Town Hall entrance foyer, this ground floor area is the ideal venue for a post-ceremony champagne reception.
A range of wedding packages are available starting from just £45 per head for a wedding breakfast, or £10 for head for a ceremony package with fizz.
Bespoke wedding days are a speciality and the Town Hall’s experienced caterers can work with you to dream up your perfect wedding breakfast menu.
