Weddings are back on the cards, and stationery brand Papier has seen that June was the strongest month for wedding sales in the history of the brand, with 400% increase year-on-year.
In addition, 85% of couples surveyed by Papier had postponed their wedding, with 96% of those having already set their new date.
Despite the changes to weddings over the past year, couples are still optimistic and plan to get married in 2021 with 93% of Papier invitations sold this year are for 2021 weddings.
Although weddings are smaller for 2021 they are still just as special. Papier have seen that the average invitation quantities remain under 50 but quantities increase with those who are ordering for dates in 2022.
Guest Book sales in June and July were over five times greater than in June 2019, suggesting that people are looking for special ways to really commemorate their wedding day with close friends and family.
Menus and place card orders are almost three times greater (June 2021 vs. June 2019) suggesting more emphasis on table decor than previous years. While weddings are smaller people are investing more in these finishing touches.
Large welcome wedding signs and table plans have also doubled in demand, showing that couples want to wow their guests with an entrance and stand out details.
