Wedding Songs

What are the best songs to kick off the dancing at a wedding?

The first dance is one of the most important parts of the wedding as a whole and the song is all important.

It helps to set the town for the relaxing part of the reception – and can give guests an idea of how the couple feel about each other.

An internet poll for 2010 found the following songs were among the most requested by wedding DJs as the couple take to the floor.

Can’t Take My Eyes Off You – Andy Williams

Better Together – Jack Johnson

Let’s Stay Together – Al Green

Chasing Cars – Snow Patrol

Greatest Day – Take That

I’m Yours – Jason Mraz

Let There Be Love – Nat King Cole

Fly Me To The Moon – Frank Sinatra

And here are some of the more unusual requests……

Murder On the Dance Floor – Sophie Ellis Bextor

Theme from The Muppet Show

Sex Bomb – Tom Jones

Spirit Of The Age - Hawkwind
