Planning your wedding tip 2 - create your own wedding signage
Add a touch of creativity to your wedding signage and keep the feel of the wedding theme throughout. Fancy giving it a go? Here's an easy to do tip...
Think about how you can make, hire or buy signage that will perfectly complement your day, making it relevant and personal. It helps set the tone of the wedding as well as being helpful to guests...
Why not create some handmade wedding signage. Simply get some fence wood, paint on your signs and then pin it to a vertical piece of wood as featured in tip number 2 from Stem Floral Design.
Or you might like to try one of these:
- Looking for some rustic or country charm - try textures like yarn, nails, hessian or wood work to perfectly compliment your theme.
- For a more modern affair, look for interesting typography and graphical imagery, printed on luxurious stock.
- Perhaps you're going vintage? You could consider soft, muted colours and fabrics, displayed in vintage styled frames or even embroidery hoops.
- Blackboards can make great signs; either on their own or displayed in fancy frames in keeping with your design concept.
- Look for ways to complement your printed stationery. For example, if you have a personalised monogram or motif across your day stationery then try to incorporate that into your signage for a cohesive look.
- And finally, don’t forget to think about how you are going to display your signs; will they prop up against something, are they freestanding, do you need something to hang them from (check with your venue before you invest!) or do they need a stand to be displayed on?
