The launch of Photographers without Frontiers charity was born from the idea to give back to the NHS following the recent Covid-19 outbreak.
The initiative has already raised £2,500 and the team behind the charity is encouraging others to make a minimum donation of £10 through the Just Giving page direct to ‘NHS Charities Together’. In return, donators will receive a free protrait session with a web-sized image to share online showing their support for the NHS.
The charity has also pledged to add another £5 donation of their own money to the Just Giving page once the portrait session has taken place in an aim to bring social media alive with pictures celebrating and supporting the NHS.
Photographer, Angela Adams based in Norwich, says: “We are individual businesses, so may not all be re-opening on 15th June, but when it is safe and appropriate for each of us to do. For me, that may not be until September 2020 as I'm shielding. However, for each £10 donated, the photographer contacted will send a promissory voucher for a future session.”
Michael Mawby, of Breckland Studio in Thetford, says: “We want to give something back to the communities in which we live and work, along with raising vital funds for the wonderful work ‘NHS Charities Together’ carries out.”
Norfolk-based wedding photographer, Belinda Buxton, says: “Photography without Frontiers aims to bring together a community of photographers, from Scotland to the South Coast, with just two aims; support ‘NHS Charities Together’ and ensure families have a fantastic image to enjoy for years to come.”
Photographers can still join the initiative. For more information on Photography without Frontiers, or would like to donate, visit the website here.
