Liz captures the story of your wedding as the day unfolds. From nervous smiles to tearful embrace, all done is a relaxed, natural and unobtrusive way. “I really enjoying capturing the emotion of the day, the nervous, the smiles, everything down

to those moments you may forget. I’m passionate about producing your images in a relaxed way and I often manage to get pictures no one else sees. My silver award of the groom looking at their signing frame was one of those moments. No one saw him but me, he stood in a stream of sunlight reading the message of love and congratulations left by family and friends.”

Liz submitted the photographs to the guild for their image of the month competition, open to its 4,000 members. “I was very pleased for the pictures to be recognised in this way because of the complexity of the conditions but also as it reflected my passion for story-telling through the images I capture.”

The Guild of Photographers is the highly regarded national photographic body whose members are dedicated to enhancing their skills in the art, craft and profession of photography.

Members of the Guild are committed to achieving the highest standards of professionalism for the benefit of their customers. They pledge themselves to delivering the highest standards of customer service and to a journey of continuing professional development.

The Guild website (www.photoguild.co.uk) lists members throughout the country who offer this commitment, along with advice on how to choose a photographer that will meet your needs.

Lesley Thirsk (Director of the Guild) said that she is “delighted that Liz has achieved this bar, The Guild has very demanding standards when judging photographic competitions. The judging is undertaken by a panel of internationally recognised experts from a variety of photographic backgrounds and all of the points from nine months of the competition accumulate at the end of the 12 months to ‘Guild Photographer of the Year’.
