Wedding flower trends for 2017/18 from Essex florists
14 Jun 2017
Searching for an Essex supplier to fulfil your wedding flowers? Four local florists share their top trends for 2017/18
"I have been a wedding florist for 16+ years now and I have to say that the hand-tied bouquet is still one of the most popular for brides with its classic round shape. It's easy in the hand and can also be used further as a top table display in a vase. You can also change the look and shape of the bouquet depending on the style of flowers; it can be a compact, tight construction or very loose. Various flowers are arranged in the hand and tied off with ribbon and pins to complete the design."
"Hanging florals and foliage is a trend that looks set to continue throughout 2017 and 2018. Ceilings can be adorned with anything from floral chandeliers, tree branches dripping with hanging flowers or metres and metres of garlands made from sweet scented eucalyptus and rosemary. This is where choosing an experienced and creative florist is so important. They will be able to advise on the best installation to suit your venue and how to create something bespoke and unique for your wedding. Don’t despair if your venue has low ceilings – hanging florals can still be used on each guest table by creating tall centrepieces with individual flowers hanging from them or by even hanging flowers from your top table."

"This year I`m seeing a lot of neutral metallic rose gold, gold, and coppers used with blousy, whimsical flowers in blush and creams with a hint of peach. Hydrangeas, roses and peonies create a romantic feel. Greenery is the colour of 2017 which will follow through to 2018, so incorporating plenty of foliage and greenery will give impact; use succulents within the bouquet and table designs. Create an enchanted garden - jam jars are out and glamour is back. The flower wall is over, instead floral chandeliers and hanging designs are in. Personalise your wedding with a new fresh look to make impact. We love working with our bride and groom's individual style to create a floral wow."
