Wedding dos and don’ts

By Clare Venables, wedding co-ordinator at QHotels' Crewe Hall

DOS

• Do consider factoring the cost of chair covers in to your budget – they really do make a difference to a room.

• Do consider the effect of coloured lighting to bring out your chosen colour scheme, up lighters can be very a cheap and effective way of doing this.

• Do consider if your venue has opportunities for indoor photographs – just in case it rains on the big day.

• Do invest in a ‘wedding planner book’ as this will help guide you through the planning process with tips along the way.

DON’TS

• Don’t get lost in every tiny detail of your day; just concentrate on enjoying it and having the best day for the two of you.

• Don’t have too many opinions on your big day; it’s all about the two of you – not everyone else!
