Wasing Park is an exclusive-use wedding venue open all year round. With 4,000 acres of stunning parkland and woodland, the family-owned estate has more than 250 years of history and makes a very unique wedding venue.
Facilities and services
Wasing offers both an indoor and outdoor civil ceremony option. The Garden Room is an elegant space purpose-built for civil ceremonies, offering an abundance of light with its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the gardens and Castle Barn. The Victorian Summerhouse is located in the Terrace Gardens; its interior is embellished with a mural of flowers, cherry trees, birds and butterflies, offering an idyllic backdrop for your exchange of vows or a blessing.
As well as the Garden Room and Victorian Summerhouse, Wasing is lucky enough to have the 15th century parish church of St Nicholas on site which can accommodate religious ceremonies. Following your wedding ceremony, The Garden Room is the perfect setting for reception drinks; folding doors bring the outside in, allowing guests to wander and enjoy the garden and terrace. All of this is just a moment's stroll to The Castle Barn which hosts up to 140 guests for your wedding breakfast. This 18th century barn is the ideal setting for the wedding breakfast and evening celebration.
Wasing prides itself on creating bespoke wedding breakfasts and providing expert service. Galloping Gourmet, the venue's exclusive caterers, provide outstanding catering and event management. The talented chefs use the finest locally-sourced ingredients to create fine dining menus and street food feasts alike. There is even the option to have venison from the estate. Casual dining packages can include a barbecue, afternoon tea or slow-cooked food over a fire pit or spit roast. From canapés and cocktails to fine dining and informal street food, Galloping Gourmet understand the importance of exceptional food and service.
Best spot for photographs
Couples are spoilt for choice when it comes to photo opportunities at Wasing Park. The terrace gardens, Dovecote, Granary, Castle Barn, parkland and 15th century church all make stunning backdrops but the most popular spot is the Victorian Summerhouse.
Each couple has an event manager from Galloping Gourmet allocated to them. Event managers help with wedding event planning (room layouts, timings, menu choices), escort the bride and bridal party to the their wedding ceremony, can act as the toastmaster on the day to ensure the day runs smoothly and manage the events team all while giving 100% attention to the bride and groom.
The romantic award-winning venue boasts 26 stunning boutique guest rooms. The renowned honeymoon suite has just been unveiled following a beautiful makeover. The unique accommodation also includes a converted Dovecote and a Granary sat on staddle stones.
