Privately owned by the Arlott family since 1930, The Old Mill stands over the river Kennet and the site dates back to the Domesday Survey of 1086. Steeped in traditional charm with its original oak beams, sluices and waterwheel, The Old Mill is a tranquil setting in 20 acres of stunning countryside - making it one of the most picturesque venues in Royal Berkshire.
Facilities and services
The Old Mill offers provision for ceremonies, receptions and evening celebrations.
The Old Mill is available almost every day throughout the year and on an exclusive use basis. The venue does not offer packages; menus are tailored to your specification from The Old Mill's extensive menu choice. Owner and head chef, Robin; his wife, Diane; and secretary, Chrissy, help couples to plan their special day. In-house catering is offered and plenty of local accommodation is readily available.
Best spot for photographs
There are so many beautiful spots to choose from within the 20 acres; it's a photographer's paradise.
