The former home of the Irlam family, Merrydale Manor is a spectacular country estate wedding venue. Sister venue to the prestigious Colshaw Hall, Merrydale Manor is fast becoming one of the most sought after venues in Cheshire.
Location
Located in the quiet village of Over Peover, Merrydale Manor is just two miles outside Knutsford. Nestled in acres of countryside and rolling parkland it fits the bill perfectly for couples that are looking for a country manor house, but also desire contemporary luxury too. In addition, many couples are searching for a venue which not only offers exclusivity but also the chance to get married, celebrate and stay the night at one location; Merrydale Manor offers all of this.
Facilities and services
As you enter the grand entrance to the estate, you will see how magnificent the grounds are. The venue has its own private Polo Club and HPA registered pitch too but you don’t have to be a fan of horses to be impressed by the sight. When you drive further into the estate, you’ll pass the elegant manor house to the left and tranquil lake and lush green parkland to the right. There’s a stunning ceremony space to take your vows with oak beams and limestone floors and as you leave the room as a newly married couple, you’ll be greeted by magnificent views of the lake beyond. It really is the most picturesque spot to get married.
After your ceremony, you and your guests will have the idyllic grounds to yourself as the venue is always exclusive to you. There are beautiful, manicured gardens that surround the Merrydale Suite, acres of rolling countryside and a water fountain on the lake, providing plenty of options for photographs throughout the big day.

The real jewel in the crown on this country estate is the opulent Merrydale Function Suite. Designed to the highest specifications and with elegance and grandeur in mind, this must be seen to be believed. The Merrydale Suite is entered through oak arched doors into a refined bar area, completely transformed from former polo stables, providing a contemporary space to mingle with guests before your wedding breakfast.
The interiors are fresh and glamorous with large glass windows offering views to both sides over the formal gardens, courtyard and the lake beyond. In fact, Merrydale Manor is a venue that has a very high standard of interiors throughout so that couples can spend more of their budget on the best in entertainment, flowers, and food rather than just dressing a venue to get it up to scratch.
The suite has been cleverly designed to offer optimum spaces for most sizes of weddings, with ample room for a dance floor and stage.
