Hedingham Castle is one of England's most romantic wedding venues. Situated within the peaceful Essex countryside, this 12th century Norman Keep is one of the best preserved in the country, providing a timeless and magical setting for your dream day.



Facilities and services

Ceremonies take place within the grandeur of the Banqueting Hall of the Keep, surrounded by candlelight, with the capacity for up to 130 guests. Hedingham is a fully equipped venue, with a dedicated team of in-house wedding co-ordinators, here to help you with every aspect of the arrangements for your wedding day.


Availability and pricing

Ceremony with marquee reception is offered Monday through to Saturday. Ceremony with castle reception is offered Sunday to Thursday. Venue hire fee prices start from £4,250 inc VAT, ranging up to £7,950 inc VAT, to reflect both seasonal pricing and mid-week to weekend availability. Included in the venue hire fee is: The Garden Cottage for pre-bridal preparation and as the bridal suite, on-site wedding car, the use of the castle for the ceremony, use of the Hall, Ashhurst Room and lakeside terrace for the drinks reception and the permanent structure marquee situated on the Tulip Lawn for the wedding breakfast and evening party. Also included is all non consumables such as: the use of all linen, tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, glassware, all staff and a personal wedding coordinator. Not included are the registrar's fees for the ceremony, or the costs of any food or drink.

With 160 acres of land, photo opportunities are endless, with several stunning locations available for some truly memorable photographs.



All catering is provided through designated in-house caterer, Arabella Reeve or Splinters Outside Caterers.



On-site accommodation The Garden Cottage, secluded within its own private orchard in a luxurious haven of the Hedingham Estate provides a tranquil retreat for the first night as a married couple. The Lodge, situated at the end of the tree-lined driveway can comfortably accommodate up to 17 guests in this homely Tudor period property.
