Little Lodge Farm has launched a brand new wedding space in Thetford Forest – Forest Lodge Weddings. Run by the same team behind Forest Lodge Holidays which operate a farm/horse livery yard and holiday lodges which can accommodate horses with stables and turnout paddocks, the stunning setting sits in secluded woodland.

The ceremony

While legalities will have to be conducted beforehand, the open air environment will give couples the opportunity to hold a second ceremony and celebrations in the great outdoors. Seating is provided for guests and a wooden gazebo offers a focal point beneath which the bride and groom can exchange vows. Guests can even enjoy a glass of bubbles or a pint courtesy of Farriers Refreshments (a converted horse trailer licence bar) as they take their seats to await the arrival of the bride.

Rustic, bohemian and classic weddings can all benefit from this magical and mystical setting with a 10-acre field nearby. The romantic woodland allows for beautiful photographic opportunities with sunlight breaking through the canopy and nature providing a beautiful backdrop. The venue is even set to install a swing for even more fantastic wedding photographs to treasure forever. Shelter is also provided for couples and their guests, should the weather take a turn for the worse.

The horse-friendly venue invites couples with horses to bring their beloved animals along to the ceremony or make their entrance atop their horse. Horses can then be kept in the neighbouring stables and paddock while the rest of the day gets underway.

The reception

Celebrate in style while surrounded by the joys of nature. The wedding reception can be conducted in the 10-acre field which is the perfect place to erect a marquee. Bell tents and tipis can also be constructed as places for guests to stay in, if desired, making Little Lodge Farm an all-encompassing spot for the couple’s special day.

A host of recommended suppliers and suggestions for the finishing touches are available from the venue’s affable and attentive team, who will also be on hand to guide and advise you in your wedding planning journey.
