Venue Fact File: Elmore Court, Gloucester

21 Nov 2017

Marrying traditional elements with a contemporary touch, Elmore Court is one of the Cotswolds’ most beautiful venues

Promotional Feature

Elmore Court is an eclectic mix of the old English manor house feel, with a contemporary, purpose-built party spot. The Guise family have been on this patch since 1274 and as such, there is an overwhelming sense of 'home', from the minute you walk in.

Facilities and services

The venue is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in several rooms in the House, outside on the Front Porch and also in The Gillyflower. Elmore Court offers two venues in one; the Main House for the ceremony, drinks and accommodation, and The Gillyflower behind offers an additional space for dining and dancing.

The gem behind the splendour of the Court is RIBA award-winning ecologically sound, and entirely soundproof party venue known as The Gillyflower. Carved from estate timber and sculpted from the earth, this 'future-rustic' structure is packed with an Ibiza-quality sound and lighting system.

Availability and pricing

Elmore Court is an exclusive hire venue, with availability for weddings running Thursday through to Sunday, February-December. Venue hire (inclusive of bedrooms) starts at £5,750 with food prices per head starting at £42pp. Exclusive use of Elmore Court, The Gillyflower and the Gardens from midday until 10.30am the following day. Access to the venue's newest offering, The Coach House from 4pm the day before until 12.30pm on the day of your wedding. All 16 bedrooms in the Main House are included for the night of your wedding. Couples will be assigned a personal wedding co-ordinator to assist from the initial stages through to the big day itself, and they will also have access to their own exclusive webpage. All tables and chairs, as well as all cutlery, glassware and a fully stocked and staffed bar are provided as standard. The cutting edge lighting and Funktion One sound system in The Gillyflower is included, as is the wireless PA system. Couples are also free to use the venue's cake stand and knife, and display easel. The Kadai fire bowl in The Gillyflower meadow will be lit in the evening to keep guests warm as the sun goes down.

Best spot for photos

In summer, try and catch the sunset out in the Gillyflower meadow – just beautiful.

A great team of super-talented chefs can create the menu that you desire. Where possible, they try to use locally sourced ingredients to help support local businesses, as well as that grown in the estate.

There are 16 bedrooms on-site for the night of the wedding. The Coach House is the perfect bridal prep pad for the night before.

Customer testimonial:

"Words can't begin to describe how incredible the entire day was. With the help of the extremely friendly staff, wonderful vendors and our fantastic families, we were able to create the whimsical enchanted fairytale we dreamed of. Elmore made planning this wedding from America the easiest and smoothest journey you could ever imagine. Endless 'thankyous' to the staff; we will be forever grateful for your hard work and making our day the best day of our lives." Chelsea & James Tyson.
