Specialising in original and bespoke weddings, the recently fully restored four-star Deer Park Country House Hotel is an 18th century Georgian house which offers romance, refinement and a home from home – with all the elements to create the perfect wedding day.


One of the South West’s premiere wedding venues, Deer Park Country House is located on the outskirts of the picturesque market town of Honiton in East Devon. From Exeter, the venue is a straightforward 25-30 minute drive. The venue is easily accessible from the hustle and bustle of London via the M4 and M5 – taking under three hours to arrive by car.

The venue boasts more than 80 acres of glorious grounds, woodland walks, manicured lawns and riverside trails. Couples can tie the knot in the secluded secret garden, surrounded by wild flowers, or inside the beautiful country house.

The stunning, new Georgian Orangery is situated next to the venue’s romantic Italian Garden. Bathed in natural light, the Orangery can accommodate 200 for a seated wedding breakfast and 250 for an evening celebration. Similarly, smaller parties can enjoy the light and airy contemporary space of The Conservatory, which also overlooks the Italian Garden and caters for up to 60 wedding guests.

More intimate ceremonies are catered for by the Drawing Room, which can accommodate up to 30 dining guests, and The Loxtons Dining Room, which holds up to 55 dining guests.

Exclusive use of the Deer Park gives you uninterrupted use of the 80 acres of grounds and country house and is included in the venue’s array of wedding packages. Couples can even choose from a selection of vintage wedding cars – the property of Deer Park owner, Nigel Wray (owner of Saracens rugby team).

Headed up by award-winning chef Hadleigh Barrett, the 2 Rosette Deer Parks ethos is to focus on local and fresh. With its on-site Georgian walled gardens and orchard, the Deer Park offers a fantastic selection of home-grown produce for your big day. From canapés to a delectable wedding breakfast feast, to stunning pizzas made on their own wood fired oven, the Deer Park offers a host of menus to suit all tastes and dietary requirements.

Evening dining options are numerous and examples include the extravagant buffets, Stone-Baked Clay Oven Pizzas or a choice of sumptuous spit roasts.

While the bride and groom can relax in the stunning luxury thatched Tree House, set amid a cluster of beautiful old oaks and overlooking the River Otter, guests can spend the night in the hotel’s 15 grand bedrooms. With a further 17 new bedrooms situated next to the walled gardens plus a delightful new self-catering three bedroomed detached house just completed, the Deer Park can comfortably accommodate 70 of your nearest and dearest in four-star luxury for your big day ..
