Bruisyard Hall is spilling over with history and period style, and boasts an impressive barn venue perfect for weddings of all types. Luxurious accommodation can be found in the house itself, including a master suite with four poster bed. The hall is run by a friendly and flexible family team, dedicated to making your event as carefree and special as possible.
Location
Bruisyard Hall is 4.2 miles from the A12. The venue is easy to find with plenty of parking on-site.
Facilities
Bruisyard Hall is available for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships of all sizes. From a beautiful 140-capacity barn wedding, with a marquee on the lawn for larger occasions, to a more intimate family-only ceremony in the spectacular main hall. Meals and canapes come in the form of delicious, locally sourced produce.
The grounds themselves are a wedding photographer’s dream. The hall is nestled away in 700 acres of quintessential Suffolk countryside, which include a private lake and plenty of opportunities to catch a beautiful sunset. Guests can even enjoy some pre or post-wedding pursuits, such as fishing or shooting.
Dogs are more than welcome to enjoy all this open countryside too. In fact, they have their own luxury lodgings in a lockable lobby in the house. Pooches are also invited to explore the ground floor of the hall, and attend most of the wedding day, except for the ceremony and food service.
With rustic open fires, an attic bar and games room with snooker tables, the house itself offers plenty of choice for keeping guests entertained beyond the ceremony.
Accommodation
There are 12 luxurious bedrooms, including a very special suite for newlyweds. The opulent Sir John Rous suite contains a magnificent four poster bed, en-suite bathroom – with his and hers sinks – and roll top bath. All suites in the hall have cosy and energy efficient underfloor heating to give guests modern comfort in a period setting.
Aside from the dozen double and twin rooms in the house, there are two more double rooms a very short walk from the main hall. The team can also recommend several nice hotels and B&Bs nearby for guests to stay at.
Team
The experienced family-run team at Bruisyard Hall work closely with couples to create happy memories of a special occasion that last a lifetime. They go the extra mile to provide whatever unique quirks couples want for the ceremony (brides have arrived on tractors before now). Behind the scenes, the team work their socks off to create a seamless experience for guests.
