Space & Rock is a new online platform which aims to connect home, business and land owners with couples seeking a unique space for their wedding celebration.

The crowdfunded concept, which aims to be sustainable and 100% carbon neutral, has been hailed the 'Airbnb of the wedding world'.

From an effortlessly cool vintage cinema to an astronomical observatory, there are hundreds of hidden gems across the country listed on the website - with contacts, pricing and imagery all available to explore. Visitors to the site can search by region, location type, capacity and facilities.

Diverging from the traditional wedding venue, the website lists wedding sites as 'spaces', encouraging owners to sign up with advice on pricing and how to apply for a Temporary Event Notice.

Founder Gemma Rawlinson, a veteran of the wedding industry and proprietor of vintage wedding hire business Box and Cox, says: “We believe a couple’s individuality should be rewarded with a totally unique wedding space and are excited to play a small part in their day. Likewise, we’re passionate about helping small business, home and land owners up and down the country to become more sustainable by realising a revenue stream that they previously might not have known existed.”

Prices start at £500. For more information, visit www.spaceandrock.co.uk.
