The Tythe Barn in Launton, Oxfordshire has been running as a wedding venue since 1998 and this year has introduced a new off-shoot business, The Artisan House.
Conceived and created by Emma Deeley, who runs The Tythe Barn with her husband, The Artisan House offers a selection of hand-picked and handcrafted goods and includes items sourced from skilled international craftsmen or artisans. All goods are ethically and Fairtrade compliant.
As well as presenting gift list options and wedding decor ideas in The Bridal Room area of the site, the e-tailer also features practical products for wedding planning - such as the leather journals from Morocco. The journals, which can be stamped with the couple's name or wedding date, offers a convenient notebook for the couple's to-do list and ideas for their big day.
Further highlights from the website include Emma's ceramic 'Wonky Jugs' which have received several compliments from brides and, for each purchase, generate a donation to Cancer Research.
Emma says: "The ethos of the shop is very much rooted in my passion for beautifully hand-crafted products, whether by myself or carefully sourced by myself locally or further afield. Each product tends to have a lovely story attached to it and I have chosen to only stock items that I consider to be rather unique, of a high quality and perhaps quite difficult to find elsewhere."
