Pearls are known for their effortless elegance and beauty. Birthed from sea oysters and clams, these intricate shimmering gem stones can take up to ten years to form.

Also found in shades of pink and green, it’s white and black pearls which are the most common colours, with a perfectly round pearl as the most rare and more expensive on the market.

However, more retailers are adapting this trend for the more affordable market, making those looking to sport the trend for upcoming weddings and events easily available; from shoes, handbags and hair pieces.

Here are seven ways to add pretty pearls to your wedding day outfit:

Artimus Anklet, Grace Loves Lace, £230

White Pearl Drop Handbag, Three Six Five, £50

Pearl Headband, Monsoon, £35

Pearl Strap Sandals, Monsoon, £90

Pearl Hoop Earrings, Oliver Bonas, £25

Indira Backpiece, Grace Loves Lace, £340

Clara Double Hair Comb, Jon Richard, £60
