Top 5 tips for DIY weddings

Weddingsite team up with Boho Weddings to bring you the top 5 tips to doing DIY for your wedding from those who have already been there.

1. Everything takes more time than you think make sure you start well in advance with especially if you want a lot DIY items.

2. If you are going to DIY, try to do as much as possible in advance – we ran out of time and only got everything finished because we were lucky to have so many generous people willing to get stuck in and help.

3. Ebay and local markets are useful places to get DIY/craft supplies.

4. If you do decide to go down the DIY route, start as early as possible and practice – no one will complain at sampling wedding cake

5. DIY makes your wedding really personal. It was wonderful that we could take our decorations home after the wedding and reuse them around the home – constant living memories.
