What makes your venue stand out?
The Woodyard is nestled in 300 acres of private parkland for you and your guests to enjoy. The beautifully restored Georgian thatched barn and former sawmill is hired with Worstead Park exclusively for three days.
The traditional Norfolk thatched barn has been carefully renovated to provide modern amenities while retaining the character of the building's 300-year-old history. To the west is an 11 acre lake with a unique boat house and a footbridge leading to a picturesque island, where the bride can arrive by boat before saying ‘I do’ on Lake Island.
Do you conduct civil ceremonies?
Yes – civil ceremonies can be conducted at The Woodyard, as well as on Lake Island or West Lawn for an outdoor ceremony.

What is the best spot for photographs?
Lake Island is a stunning spot for photographs. Last year, a family of swans nested on the island and over the summer we always see dragonflies and fish jumping. The lake and island is alive with wildlife.

Our venue manager Emily guides couples throughout the planning process during the lead up to their day. For any couples seeking full wedding planning or styling services, Emily runs Hardesty Event Design, a venue management and wedding planning business, whereby these services can be offered at an additional cost.
