A Frozen-themed wedding features in many a little girl's dreams, so you can be sure that the winter wonderland wedding of Stacey Hill and Pat Crowest will be inspiring brides for years to come. Its ice-blue theme shaped the wedding, as Stacey recounts.

"Both of us love Christmas so we wanted to have a winter wonderland wedding," says Stacey. "We got engaged on Christmas day in 2012 so it felt right to have a wedding near the day we got engaged. We were charmed by the 16th century building and the location of the Frogmill. The Frogmill is set in the Cotswold hills and is perfect for a winter wedding."

The Dress

"I always wanted a fairy tale princess dress with lots of sparkle and beading," says Stacey. "I fell in love with my dress which happened to be the first dress I tried on. My dress is made by Stella York (style 5828). The dress is stunning as it has sparkly layers underneath the full tulle skirt. My matron of honour attended all my dress fittings and she was a massive support throughout the planning of our wedding."

The Morning of the Wedding

"On the day I felt so nervous but also excited. I got ready at my parents house and it was such a busy morning with photographer, videographers, make-up artist and hairdresser all doing their part so the morning went really quickly," says Stacey. "I also had two of the ladies from my wedding dress shop come out to us and do all of our dresses up. This took a lot of stress away on the morning of the wedding because all our dresses were lace-up backs so I wanted to make sure they were done up correctly."

Strech Bentley Limos and a Nervous Bride

"Before we knew it our stretch Bentley Limos arrived to take us to The Frogmill. My grandparents had kindly arranged our wedding cars so the black stretch Bentley limo took my bridesmaids, flower girls, pageboys and mums to the venue and me and my dad followed in the white stretch Bentley limo.

"I arrived at the venue and was greeted by our photographer and videographers for a few pictures then I was interviewed by the Registrar. My pageboys, flower girls and bridesmaids walked in first then me and my dad followed a few seconds later. I can remember my heart being in my mouth as I was so nervous but happy to see my husband to be."

Colour Scheme: Ice Blue, Silver and White

"Our colour scheme was icy blue silver and white. The venue looked absolutely stunning. The ceremony and reception was all at The Frogmill. We had photos in the grounds of The Frogmill which just looked stunning. Thankfully we had a dry day so we were able to take advantage of the beautiful scenery. We also hired a snow machine which looked absolutely stunning for the pictures."

Marco Pierre White Venue

"The Frogmill is owned by Marco Pierre White so our wedding breakfast was out of this world. We had a beautiful Christmas tree decorated in pastel colours in the corner of the room which looked beautiful as we set the our wedding cake in front of the Christmas tree for pictures."

Decoration

"We had matching organza top table swags and chair sashes in periwinkle and light blue, white fairy lit wishing well for our cards, Black starlight up backdrop that was behind the top table, LED uplighters on each pillar, our centrepieces were tall martini glasses with baubles and artificial snow."

A Tender Poem

Each table had handmade crackers for guests that were put together by Stacey and her mum. Inside the crackers, her sister wrote a poem:

“We hope you like your crackers but it doesn’t end there,
There is a special favour on the back of your chair.
As you know we’re mad about Xmas and the magic that goes with it,
So put these on your tree each year and we will share the Christmas spirit. This is the gift we give to you to remind you of our special day.
Thank you so much for sharing it with us it means more than words can say."

Cracker and Christmas Charm

"The crackers also contained chocolate white coins and a Christmas charm.  We also had mistletoe sprigs for each of our guests with a note that said “please use this mistletoe to get to know the person sitting next to you”.  Each table had a wintery theme name so we had table names called Snowflake, Holly, Winter, Frost, Glistening, Mistletoe and Blizzard."

The Wedding Cake

"Our wedding cake was kindly made by a member of the family. The cake was very much a winter wonderland cake with snowflakes and beading as decoration. We had three tiers which were Victoria sponge, chocolate and fruit. The cake topper was this beautiful wedding egg which opened up and would play the Wedding March. I picked this up in the local jewellers (of all places) for £20. I thought it was perfect and went so well with our theme."

For the evening reception we had a DJ and also my mum, auntie and sister are in a band so we also had them do a few sets which was lovely.
