Providing the lowest carbon footprint of any venue in the UK, The Pines Calyx is a unique and quirky wedding venue that is currently celebrating 10 years.

The Pines Calyx, which overlooks the white cliffs coast in Kent, has hosted a diverse and eclectic variety of weddings in this time, executing a plethora of themes - from a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to an intimate picnic themed celebration. Versatility is promoted, even in the demographic of their couples; the venue has welcomed a pair of octogenarians as well as happy ‘second time rounders’.

Run by the Bay Trust, The Pines Calyx conducted its first marriage ceremony in 2006 for couple, John and Sarah. John had proposed to Sarah in the surrounding Pines Garden and the couple loved the venue so much that they asked to get married before construction had finished.

Following John and Sarah’s nuptials, the wedding bookings flooded in, with the venue welcoming an avid cycling couple who waved goodbye to their wedding day on a tandem and festival goers, Sam and Kylie, who got hitched in flip-flops with a cupcake mountain as their wedding cake.

The customer testimonials received by The Pines Calyx have been nothing short of complimentary, with Pagan guests describing the venue as “perfect”, Steam Punks citing it “sensational” and LGBT visitors remarking that it is “just gorgeous”.

And it is clear to see why, with the eco friendly venue boasting a forward-thinking, low impact design constructed from the chalk of the cliffs on which it is perched.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, The Pines Calyx is offering a 10% discount on venue hire to couples looking to get married in 2017*.  The Pines Calyx is also calling for couples who are considering a Bond theme for their wedding to honour author of James Bond, Ian Fleming’s residence on the beach which sits at the foot of the cliff, below The Pines Calyx. It is also the location in which he wrote Moonraker.

Whatever your creative yearnings, The Pines Calyx are inviting couples to make their dreams a reality by getting in touch with the team today at www.pinescalyx.co.uk

*10% discount is valid on venue hire in 2017 only; it is not valid on food and beverage packages
