Being a professional wedding photographer myself, along with my parents David and Beverley Foster, I have watched thousands of happy couples tie the knot. But nothing can compare to your own special day! It is something that happens once in a life time, the photographs are a lasting memory and so of course very important to me.

I wanted a blingy, stylish Christmas wedding. I was seven months pregnant so my dress needed to flow over my baby bump. My jewellery was more important to me. I had a 1950s earrings and necklace set, a 1930s silver pendant as a head piece and a stunning fur clip I wore on the back of my dress.

My bouquet, which I had had specially crafted from sapphire and silver, jewellery and jewels, was the talk of the wedding. It made me feel so special and unique. We chose sapphire blue as our colour scheme to match my engagement ring and we truly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect colour.

The morning of the wedding I had my hair and make-up done. I was all of a fluster of excitement with flowers and people arriving. Freddie had had the most fabulously huge bouquet delivered to me, along with a card, in which he wrote the sweetest message. My eyes filled up so much I thought all my makeup would come off!

Rather than keep him waiting we got to the church right on time. I remember when I was walking down the aisle, I had the biggest smile on my face and Freddie looked so happy. I get butterflies just thinking back at it all and want to do it all over again! The service was beautiful and we had the choir sing ‘Silent night’ as we signed the register.

After the service we made our way back to Crewe Hall where we were greeted by Santa!

The wedding was amazing from start to finish. I remember we sat cuddled together, a wedding cupcake each in our hand, watching the final hour of our day being danced away by our guests, not wanting the day to end.
