Uppermost in the expansion of the Port Lympne portfolio is the renovation of the Mansion transforming it into a lavish and private boutique hotel that will open in June this year.
The historic Mansion is steeped in prestige and glamour. Situated at the heart of a 600 acre estate, Port Lympne was originally commissioned as the private residence of Sir Philip Sassoon, who charmingly entertained guests of distinction including Sir Winston Churchill, Prince Edward and Mrs Simpson, Lawrence of Arabia and Charlie Chaplin.
The Mansion has for many years been host to weddings, celebrations and corporate events and now the accommodation at Port Lympne Mansion Hotel joins the diverse Short Breaks portfolio.
Sam Lloyd, Hospitality and Events Manager at Port Lympne states: ‘I’m very excited about the development within the Port Lympne Mansion and its new future as an exclusive hotel, weddings and events venue in Kent. The accommodation at the Port Lympne Mansion Hotel will enable wedding parties to get married, celebrate and stay - all under one roof!’
During the summer, weather permitting, brides and grooms can say their vows on the romantic, Italian style western terrace and enjoy a canapé reception on the Iceberg Terrace, with views of the famous Lime Tree Avenue and Trojan Steps. For an evening buffet, The Aspinall Suite offers the perfect solution with a fully stocked bar and dance floor area.
It’s not just bridal parties who can enjoy Port Lympne Resort, Hen and Stag parties can also be catered for with a number of packages including glamping, safaris, champagne celebrations, fine dining and al fresco picnics.
To celebrate the launch of the Mansion Hotel, Port Lympne Resort is giving couples who book their wedding and overnight accommodation in the hotel during 2014 a £250 bar credit.
