St Mawes Castle in Truro, Cornwall, is part of the English Heritage portfolio of venues and offers a romantic setting for your wedding.

The castle was built by Henry VIII and features gargoyles, Tudor roses and fleurs-de-lys which adorn the interior.

Set overlooking the mouth of the River Fal, the views offer a mesmerising backdrop from the open decked terrace, while tiered gardens deliver access to the rugged shore.

A charming, dog-friendly venue, wedding ceremonies can take place in a number of rustic rooms inside the castle.
