Southampton photo booth business launches for charitable cause
22 Jan 2019
Carolyn Turner, together with her husband Paul, has launched a wedding photo booth business in memory of their daughter who passed away 10 years ago
Bluebells and Butterflies is a photo booth hire and events business which also provides items such as a candy ferris wheel and Mr and Mrs light-up letters to weddings in Hampshire.
For every booking, Bluebells and Butterflies makes a donation to Child Bereavement UK – a charity that has supported owners Carolyn and Paul Turner since they lost their daughter, Jessica, to a tragic drowning accident in 2008. Jessica was just 21 months old.
As ambassadors for Child Bereavement UK, Carolyn and Paul – together with their three other daughters – have raised more than £80,000 for the charity through fundraising initiatives over the last 10 years.
They aim to continue their charitable efforts by growing and developing Bluebells and Butterflies and creating special memories for wedding couples and their guests.
With a focus on all things fun and sparkly, the business also offers face painting services including glitter tattoos and face art – a skill that Carolyn specialised in before launching Bluebells and Butterflies.
Carolyn says: “Bluebells and Butterflies enables me to raise awareness for Child Bereavement UK while having fun along the way. It also involves Jessica and allows me to keep her memory close by through my work.”
