When it comes to high street wedding dresses, the choice of designs is improving with many retailers launching their own ranges for brides. Whether a destination wedding is on the cards, or saving for a honeymoon is a number one priority, there are plenty of affordable dresses out there that can be just as tasteful as high end frocks.

We’ve selected six stylish options for under £600 that cater for different body types and tastes.

1. Josefina dress

Dreamy and lightweight, this fishtail-hemmed Josefina dress features pretty floral embroidered mesh and bead embellishment. The sheer neckline and buttoned back are the defining element of this dress, with a barely there train and full lining offering touches of bridal boutique flair.

2. Gianna dress

With 1970s styling at the heart of this design, the ivory Gianna dress is embroidered with flowers and includes covered buttons on the sheer long sleeves and leading down the back. A 40cm puddle train adds elegance while the detachable jersey slip creates a slim silhouette.

3. 50s full skirted dress

The ’50s full-skirt of this dress is ultra feminine, accentuating a bride’s waist with the fitted bodice. ASOS has pulled out all the stops with its 18-piece 2016 bridal collection that will drop in March and this creation really does have a designer feel.

4. Chiffon beaded gown

For beautiful brides with fuller figures, Navabi offers a range of inexpensive dresses created to flatter. This figure skimming chiffon design from UK label
Linzi Jay features a sweetheart neckline and delicate draping detail just below the shoulders at the back with crystal beading. Sizes range from 14 to 26 and the dress is available in cream or white.

5. Delaney dress

The silky, fluid Delaney dress from Monsoon is one for a retro bride who loves simple lines and tailoring. An illusion neckline with hand-embellished pearl beads and diamante complements the capped sleeve design. Lightly-padded cups, a detachable satin sash and a 20cm puddle train also feature.

6. Flora dress

Modern brides will love the pale pink Flora wedding dress from Phase Eight. Knee length and oyster in colour, delicate floral detailing and a split back gives this a ’60s edge.
