Brides, their fiancés, mothers and friends attended the second Bride: The Wedding Show at Knebworth Park at the weekend, sealing the show’s reputation as the south east of England’s premier bridal show.

Organised by Archant Bride, the show was packed with more than 100 local wedding industry professionals and a fun-filled programme of events designed to inspire brides-to-be.

The highlight for many proved to be our fabulous catwalk show, which was fun as well as inspiring. The girls looked stunning in some beautiful gowns from Ann Bridal, Shades of White, Sara French Bridal and local designer Svetlana Wilson from Studio Bridal Wear, while the boys brought the catwalk to life with their high energy dance moves and even a touch of gangnam style in dapper suits provided by Ann Bridal, John Lewis and Moss Bros. Cream Fashions and John Lewis also provided some glamorous ideas for the mother-of-the-bride (and groom) and wedding guests.

Visitors also enjoyed live entertainment from Mr H Productions on the catwalk, harpist Sheila Watts and band INDI and the Vegas as well as some inspiring talks in our Inspiration Boutique. Fashion guru Cleo Lacey offered mums advice on ‘what not to wear’ before teaming up with Glamour Puss Weddings and Cream Fashions for a ‘create the look’ session offering both brides and mums make-up and styling tips for the big day. Lina Orsino from photographers Lina and Tom offered advice on how to choose your wedding photographer and Stephen Hill from Kingshill Jewellers offered some informative advice on what to look for when choosing your wedding rings – everything from the durability of metals to the right cut of diamond and bespoke rings.

Bride-to-be, Katie Williams from Stevenage visited Bride: The Wedding Show on Saturday and said: “I really enjoyed the show. The highlight was definitely the catwalk, it was so much fun. It’s definitely been useful and I would advise other brides to visit when planning their weddings.”

If you missed Bride: The Wedding Show at Knebworth Park this year, it will be back on January 10-11, 2015. For more information keep updated on www.theweddingshow.co.uk or call 01438 866000.
