Set the date? Now Save The Date!

As well as being objects of beauty, the invitation plays a hugely important practical role in bringing your wedding together!

We have worked with hundreds of couples over the years and certain questions come up again and again. We hope these answers prove useful!

Should we send Save the Dates? Consider save the dates if the wedding is arranged during busy holiday or seasonal periods. They are also a great idea for overseas weddings - a thoughtful gesture for guests needing to book travel and accommodation in advance. If you do send out these useful advance notices, why not include a list of recommended accommodation?

How soon should we send the invitations out? If you sent save the dates, go with the traditional two months. If not, we suggest sending invitations out around three months ahead, if not before.

How long should we allow for RSVPs? Most importantly, check when your venue requires confirmation of your numbers. If invitations are sent early, set an early reply date. Check with your stationer if they can change the reply date on any additional invitations you may need later. This also gives you plenty of time to send a second round of invitations out if necessary.

Happy stationery shopping!
