A study has found the most romantic UK cities for your perfect staycation getaway

With travel restrictions still getting in the way of potential wedding and honeymoon plans, we have delved into locations within the UK that could just be the most romantic alternative for a special ‘mini-moon’.

Fashion retailer, Dune London, has carried out extensive research to reveal the most romantic UK cities for a mini-moon.

The study has rated each city depending on a variety of different factors, such as the number of romantic hotels, the number of romantic restaurants, the number of attractions and the number of spa’s within the city – each totalling up to an overall sum to determine where each city would sit within the rankings.

In first place was our captial London, followed by Edinburgh, Liverpool, Glasgow and Birmingham.

Ranking at the bottom of the list was Newcastle closely followed by Plymouth.
