Illustries, producers of bespoke coffee table books and creators of unique memoirs and keep-safes for couples on their wedding day, is celebrating the launch of its Guest Book, a creative take on the more traditional form, and aimed at providing a fun and personalisable way for friends and family to share their love for the special couple.
Emma Penrice of Illustries, explained: “The idea of having a guest book at a wedding seems like an obvious choice, but it’s surprising how many couples are now debating as to whether or not they are useful, or even appreciated. Some couples have even admitted that they are not quite sure what to do with the books after the wedding, and that messages written by guests are often repeated – such as wishes of luck and compliments about the day.”
According to Emma, wedding guests almost feel a sense of dread as they join the queue to sign a guest book or if they see it approaching their table, due to the difficulty of knowing what to write and the worry of making a mistake.
“We’ve launched this brand new take on the traditional guest book to provide a unique way of sharing messages with brides and grooms, which takes away all the common issues associated with knowing what to write.
“The Illustries Guest Book is a great way for guests to detail their thoughts on the wedding – it’s packed with prompts and things to fill in and doodle, from capturing the bride and groom in a sketch, right through to giving advice to ensure a happy marriage. There’s a Mr and Mrs Quiz, various quotes throughout, a spot to sum up the bride and groom in just three impactful words, and awards to dedicate the best dancer, the funniest moment and the person who shed the most tears, as well as including plenty of room for heartfelt messages.
“Our Guest Books can also be personalised to match the colour scheme of the wedding, and we add the happy couple’s name and wedding date. Each book contains more than 40 pages that will become fun-filled memoirs of the special day, giving all guests the chance to be involved – and they have the choice to participate, from a doodle to the ‘drinkometer’ gauge!
