No, it’s surprising how many venues use banqueting hire items, from hotels and converted barns, to village halls and private homes – even a castle once! Banqueting hire companies generally supply a large range of items suitable for kitting out a whole room or just a few key items.
The beauty of banqueting hire is that you can transform pretty much any space to the customer’s individual requirements. Is it just cutlery and furniture?
While many items such as china, cutlery and glassware are stocked in different styles, there is also a large range of table linen in traditional white and ivory, and also a variety of coloured linen to fit with colour schemes.
Most of our chairs come with changeable coloured seat pads, which gives the customer an even larger choice. If you have some unsightly chairs, chair covers are the ideal solution. What’s the most popular item?
Lighting is such a great way of transforming a room and making items come to life and is having a big influence on popular items now.
Our ice chairs are a great example. They’re transparent, which means that when a light is shone through them they reflect and pick up any coloured lighting.
Another popular item is our new LED light up poseur tables and cubed seating, which glow with your desired colour.
The biggest must-have item for 2011 so far seems to be our large light-up ostrich feather plumes. They are quite spectacular and make a real statement.
What colours are popular for 2011 weddings?
I would say chocolate brown and orange will carry over from 2010, but purple seems to be popular for 2011. It looks great and can be introduced into your reception in a variety of ways, such as light-up table centres, organza sashes, table runners, slip cloths, table cloths, napkins, and, of course, floristry.
How can banqueting hire items help to create a theme/atmosphere?
From my previous answers you may have picked up that colours and lighting can play a big part. It’s all part of the excitement for the customer to mix and match items to create their individual theme or atmosphere.
