North Cornwall wedding venue Pengenna Manor has revealed The Cowyard Barn, accommodating up to 150 guests for a wedding ceremony
An 800-year-old private family home set amid 300 beautiful acres of unspoilt countrside, Pengenna Manor is an exclusive venue that presents a stunning setting for your wedding day.
Extending its offering to cater for even more happy couples, Pengenna Manor - which is located in Wadebridge - has unveiled a new wedding space, The Cowyard Barn. A 200-year-old building that has been sympathetically restored and re-purposed with the modern day couple in mind, The Cowyard Barn can accommodate wedding ceremonies and/or drinks receptions for up to 150 guests and a wedding reception dinner for up to 100 guests.
Bare stone walls and old wooden beams lend character and charm to the barn, while a corrugated metal bar and bespoke trestle tables and folding chairs add the rustic touch. The barn - which provides a blank canvas for couples to decorate as they wish, also provides atmospheric disco lighting and a dancefloor area for the evening celebrations.
Richard Blewett, proprietor of Pengenna Manor, said: “We’re so excited to be able to offer this fabulous new permanent event space, that can either be used to host a smaller wedding as the main reception space, or in conjunction with a marquee in the garden next door for a bigger celebration of up to 350 guests. It's funny to think that where we used to milk and calve the cows, wedding guests will now be partying.”
To celebrate the launch of The Cowyard Barn, a hand-picked selection of Cornwall-based suppliers grouped together to transform the space. The shoot, which can be viewed in more detail in the gallery above, was captured by Liberty Pearl Photography and features a natural, rustic vibe with whimsical floral displays and striking tablescapes.
