Pendennis Castle to host Cornwall Wedding Industry Meet-up

A unique networking event for wedding businesses welcomes the Director of the UK Academy of Wedding & Event Planning on Wednesday November 12, 2014

Pendennis Castle is set to host the next Cornwall Wedding Industry Meet-up, which now boasts Kylie Carlson director of UK Academy of Wedding and Event Planning as the keynote speaker.

Doncaster-based Kylie Carlson will headline the event held on Wednesday November 12, from 3pm-7.30pm, celebrating the end of another busy wedding season in Cornwall and looking ahead to 2015.

“I’m excited to take part in this fantastic event that is so much more than just another networking event. It is wonderful to see such a thriving community in Cornwall and I look forward to sharing my own business experiences with those attending and meeting some more aspiring wedding professionals.”

Organised by wedding marketing consultant Hazel Parsons and wedding planner Jenny Phipps from Jenny Wrens Wedding & Events, The Wedding Industry Meet-up will offer the best of Cornwall’s wedding managers, wedding planners, venue owners and wedding suppliers, the opportunity to network and develop their businesses.

Tickets to the networking are free but are almost ‘sold out’ Hazel said. The event will be an excellent opportunity “for all those involved in the wedding industry in Cornwall and the South West to promote their business”.

“Being able to get business advice from Kylie Carlson, a leading industry professional, is something that should not be missed”.

“Anyone looking to develop or improve their wedding business should attend as they will be able to network, showcase products, tap into the valuable knowledge the presenters have to offer and have fun at the same time.”

Following the networking event at Pendennis, there will be a fabulous networking dinner “A Celebration of Winter Weddings in Cornwall” at St Michael's Hotel & Spa. The dinner provides the perfect opportunity for businesses to really hone in those connections and create strong business relationships.

“The three-course meal and drinks reception will showcase some of the fantastic things that Cornwall has to offer winter weddings, from a delicious seasonal foodie menu to an elegantly styled wedding set-up as well as an opportunity to meet Kylie Carlson,” Hazel added.

Free tickets for Cornwall Wedding Industry Meetup and tickets for the Celebration of Winter Weddings in Cornwall networking dinner (£40pp) are available here.
