Our wedding day couldn’t have gone better. The sun was shining and the view overlooking the Thames Valley from our terrace at Pembroke
Lodge was incredible.
The highlight was the ceremony and my walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time. The funniest moment was when Tom said “take this ring as a sign of my infidelity” instead of fidelity.
We’d arranged transport to take our guests to the reception and family and friends helped with some of the other aspects of the day. Tom’s brother Blue, designed our stationery, my cousin Kat Barton and her partner, Nathan Ball, brewed sloe gin for our favours and decanted it into small bottles. Nathan also played solo acoustic guitar to entertain our guests during our drinks reception and The Fabulations got the party started in the evening with disco, funk and soul hits. In fact, our band was one of the best bits of the day. They were a huge hit with our guests. They had everyone up from the first dance to the very end which really made the wedding.
Being lifted onto the shoulders of our friends during the final dance of the night really topped off a perfect day!
