Oulton Hall reports 'whirlwind wedding' trend

19 Jan 2017

Yorkshire wedding venue Oulton Hall has discovered a 'whirlwind wedding' trend and has created a dedicated package to meet demand

Oulton Hall in Leeds has reported an increase in the number of couples looking to avoid the traditional one to two-year countdown.

Instead, brides and grooms-to-be are opting for six-month turnarounds and mid-week weddings in order to bag the venue of their dreams at an earlier date.

In response to the growing trend, Oulton Hall has introduced its Whirlwind Wedding package to allow couples to plan their wedding and tie the knot in as little as one month.

Starting from £4,200 for 60 guests, the Whirlwind Wedding package includes a red carpet arrival, ceremony, three-course wedding breakfast and buffet at the evening reception.

Jodie Lloyd, wedding co-ordinator at Oulton Hall, said: “We know that once people get engaged some people don’t want to lose the excitement, so want to tie the knot as soon as possible. Our Whirlwind Weddings package is for those that still want the dream venue, stunning landscape and traditional ceremony, without waiting over a year."
