Yorkshire wedding venue Oulton Hall has announced a competition to win a wedding, in association with Radio Aire
Radio Aire and leading Yorkshire wedding venue Oulton Hall have partnered up to give one lucky couple the opportunity to win a platinum wedding package at the venue. The competition, open to all couples, aims to raise money for children’s charity Cash for Kids.
The platinum wedding package includes ceremony room hire, canapés on arrival, a four-course wedding breakfast with drinks for 60, and an overnight stay in the luxurious Richmond Castle Suite for the bride and groom. For the evening celebration, a further 40 guests will receive a red carpet arrival to join the newlyweds on the dance floor.
Worth over £29,000, the wedding will be won by the shortlisted couple that raises the most money for the charity in 18 days. 2017’s winning couple, Christopher Fennelly and Adelle Smyth, raised over £15,000 through fundraising activities such as bucket collections, bake sales, bag packing and party nights.
Various local suppliers are also supporting the competition by donating their services to the happy couple. Photography, videography, car hire services, rings, entertainment and the wedding cake will be provided, as well as all wedding attire and the bridal party’s hair and make-up.
Claire Steven, general manager at Oulton Hall, said: “We are extremely proud to be working alongside Radio Aire and the Cash for Kids charity again. It’s fantastic to be able to contribute to the competition – we’re really looking forward to hosting the happy couple and their guests on their special day while supporting a brilliant charity, too.”
The competition launched on 8 January and will run for two weeks, with the lucky winners being announced live on air on 20 February. Couples can enter now at www.radioaire.co.uk/wedding. Oulton Hall also featured in the 2017 competition, and winners Christopher and Adelle will wed at the hotel on 23 February 2018.
