One bride tells us how she used Sell My Wedding to style her big day the pre-loved way
Archant Bride has teamed up with Sell My Wedding, the pre-loved marketplace for stylish brides to buy and sell wedding items and here, we speak with one bride who used the platform to style her wedding day.
Katie Ritchie, 28, a dance teacher and founder of Inspire Dance and Drama, wed her childhood sweetheart, Andrew, at St Mary’s Church in Etton, East Yorkshire, on the 25th July, 2015. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the bride’s family farm, complete with a tipi, hired from Boutipi and featured DIY details, as well as beautiful pre-loved items from Sell My Wedding.
Katie says: "I heard about Sell My Wedding through a neighbour. We bought some fantastic items from the website. We bought signs from the website which really helped to co-ordinate our day and make the layout clear. I also got loads of inspiration for the wedding from the site."
"It was really easy to use and searching items was really easy," continues Katie. "The contact with the sellers was always friendly and I got quick responses. The sellers all seemed really happy that their items were going to be re-used and go to a good home. Some sellers even sent little notes with their items wishing us well with our wedding preparations."
"I would highly recommend the site for buying or selling items and have told all my bride-to-be friends about it. I have since sold signs, props, crockery, bunting and other decorations on the site and it's a great way to recycle items and make some money back after the big day... win win. Sell My Wedding is such a fabulous concept."
