Devon based Nova Wedding Photography is Steve and Katherine. Professionally trained photographers working as a team of two they bring different skills and styles that blend well together. Steve has great technical ability and an amazing eye for composition whereas Katherine’s approach is very spontaneous, capturing the excitement and emotion of the day.

Strong composition, creativity and technical ability are fundamental to our wedding photography but most importantly the ability to ‘see the shot’. Be it a knowing smile, a poignant embrace, or sunlight filtering through a window, seeing these moments and photographing them well is what we love to do. This instinctive approach means we photograph things as they happen rather than set them up. The only time where we may direct you a little is when we take your couple portraits and these we like to think are composed rather than posed. We take beautiful, natrual We also LOVE all the detail and creativity that goes into each wedding and look forward to taking beautiful photographs of everything you’ve worked hard to create.

Being organised ensures we can get the most out of the day and so scouting your location, planning in advance and knowing the days timings inside out are an important part of our preparation. We like to do this with you as its gives us all a chance to meet again before the big day. We’ll be spending quite a bit of time with you on your wedding day so its important that you feel relaxed with us around. We like to think we’re pretty good company... (Our brides and grooms seem to think so which is great) and whilst we aim to blend into the background we are happy to be as much a part of the day as you want us to be.
