One of the North West’s leading photographers, Neil Redfern, has been recognised by the prestigious British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP), for the second consecutive year.

Manchester based professional photographer Neil, named BIPP North West Wedding Photographer of the Year 2013, fought off fierce competition winning the Classical Wedding and Reportage Wedding categories, before being awarded the overall winner.

The glitzy awards took place at the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel in Manchester with the best photographers across the North West being recognised for their talent and hard work.

With eight years experience in photographing weddings, Neil went full time in 2010 and the business has gone from strength to strength.

Neil says, ‘I can’t quite believe that I’ve won the award for the second year in a row. I was so proud to have been recognised by my peers last year and to achieve the accolade again for 2013 is an absolute honour.

‘As a member of the BIPP I am always seeking to improve in all areas of my work and as a professional and recognised body they set a high standard for its members to adhere to.

‘Without sounding cliché, I am genuinely lucky to be able to capture one of the happiest days in a couple’s lives. As a professional I also know that the photographs I take will be looked at for years to come and I have a responsibility to ensure the best for my clients - I can’t think of anything I would enjoy doing more.’
