A report released by hoppa has unveiled the most popular stag and hen destinations in Europe, along with their price tags
Airport transfer company hoppa has released research on the most popular European stag and hen destinations for guests from the UK so far this year. Taking into consideration the high cost of being part of a wedding party, the company has also identified the cheapest and most expensive destinations based on flights, transfers, accommodation, taxi, and food and drink costs.
The most popular British stag destinations are Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Benidorm, and Prague, whilst the hens tend to flock to Brighton, Dublin, Riga, Marbella, and Ibiza for their celebrations.
Analysis of data from the popular stag destination found that both Prague and Benidorm are cheaper than Edinburgh, with the average cost for Prague and Benidorm being £405.04 and £434.42 respectively in comparison to £535.27 for Edinburgh. Amsterdam is the most expensive European stag destination with a price tag of £593.32, with Barcelona close behind at £564.93.
According to the research, hens are more frugal, with the research identifying Brighton as the cheapest hen do at just £323.57. On the other end of the scale, Ibiza tops the list with an average price of £645.68. Interestingly, Marbella sits in the middle at £550.33 proving more expensive than Riga but marginally cheaper than Dublin.
Commenting on the report, Matt Hall of hoppa said, “Being part of a wedding party can be expensive and this research surprisingly shows that heading further afield for a stag or hen do can be cheaper than destinations closer to home such as Edinburgh and Dublin. For a group travelling together, hoppa offer a wide range of vehicles at low prices to meet and greet at the airport and whisk them away to start the celebrations.”
