New event and wedding design workshops launch on South Coast

05 May 2017

Luxury wedding and event company PARADE Events has introduced a series of design workshops across the South Coast of England

The buzzword of the modern day wedding industry is ‘experiential’: the idea of crafting environments where guests are immersed into a story to heighten their experience. Behind the experiential concept, however, is a multiplicity of design techniques carefully planned and executed by professional wedding designers.

Specialising in luxury weddings and celebrations, Amber Webster from PARADE Events, based near Winchester in Hampshire, is one such wedding designer. PARADE use techniques inspired by interior design, fashion, and art direction when designing events for its clients, with an emphasis on colour analysis, composition, storytelling, menu design, and creative styling.

PARADE Events has launched a series of interactive workshops and master classes for budding event planners throughout the South Coast. The courses, which explore today’s thriving event industry, are delivered through a variety of half day and full day activity-packed workshops hosted by industry professionals. A specialist wedding design workshop for budding planners and brides- and grooms-to-be, focussing on adding luxury to their ‘Big Day’, has also been introduced, which gives delegates the opportunity to become a wedding stylist for the day with a hands-on décor styling session.

“Planning weddings is a great experience for all involved, but we must incorporate the principles of professional event design to ensure the celebration runs to plan and emerges with wow-factor. Through professional theming, styling, and storytelling we can guide guests to amazing experiences and really create lasting memories”, says Amber.

Touching on styling, décor, floristry, guest experience and menu design, workshop delegates will find what it takes to be an excellent event planner and host. The courses include information and advice on timing and preparation, as well as visual styling and composition techniques. At the end of the course, Delegates receive a little black book-style toolkit packed with advice, check lists, techniques, and DIY tips to take away.

Master class prices start from £89 and are held at locations across the South Coast including Southampton, Winchester and Bournemouth. A full course list and booking options can be found at or email for more info.
