New Designer Wedding Gowns Worth Thousands On Sale at Charity Shop For Bargain Prices
30 Dec 2015
Brides-to-be with an eye for designer gowns but a limited wedding budget can now get their hands on second-hand wedding dresses created by the likes of Peter Langer, Reem Acura and Mira Zwillinger.
The Swiss Cottage British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop has been celebrating a bumper bridal donation after a high-end wedding boutique donated more than 30 dresses. The dresses, which usually retail for £4,000-8,000 each, will now be sold by the BHF for £300-£500 each and will help fund the charity’s life-saving heart research.
The boutique generously donated the ex-display dresses to the BHF shop after a clear out. With dresses from popular bridal designers such as Peter Langner, Reem Acura and Mira Zwillinger and other items such as veils and bridal jackets also available, the shop is encouraging brides-to-be searching for their perfect dress to pop into the shop and see if any of the items take their fancy.
Shop manager Adam Secker says: “We are absolutely delighted to have received such a generous and unique donation to our Swiss Cottage Shop. This really goes to show the wealth and variety of items that our shops stock. We’re hoping that lots of ladies planning their big day will pop down to the shop to see if they can find their perfect wedding dress and help us to continue the fight against heart disease.”
The dresses are all available now and customers can book an appointment to come in and try the dresses on for size. Prospective brides can get in touch with the shop directly on 020 7586 6950 to organise an appointment.
The BHF also offers a range of wedding favours and gifts, which can be found on their online shop at bhf.org.uk. The Swiss Cottage shop is at 6 Harben Parade, Finchley Road, London, NW3 6JP. To find out more about the wedding dresses or to book an appointment, call the shop on 020 7586 6950.
