National Wedding Show 2016 Catwalk Line-up Announced
The National Wedding Show has announced the line-up for its catwalk show as it prepares to open its doors this spring.
As one of the UK’s biggest wedding show prepares to open its doors at Manchester Central (20 – 21 February), London Olympia (26-28 February) and Birmingham NEC (4-6 March), the National Wedding Show has announced the line-up for its catwalk show sponsored by Hitched.co.uk.
From leading boutiques and designers including David’s Bridal, Qiana Bridal, Nigel Rayment, Beyond Burlesque, Beljour Bridal, Philipe Marques Couture and Cad & The Dandy to high street favourites Debenhams, Young’s Hire and Moss Bros, the catwalk show will provide inspiration for the entire wedding party.
Appearing on the National Wedding Show catwalk at London Olympia for the first time, award-winning bridal boutique David’s Bridal will showcase the latest styles from designers including Jenny Packham and Vera Wang, including extensive plus size collections. With more than 60 years of experience dressing women for all of life’s special occasions, David’s Bridal is known for outstanding value, fashionable designs and the ease of one-stop shopping.
Also gracing the runway at Olympia, Qiana Bridal presents a collection of exquisite dresses, which feature layered, full, soft silk skirts with structured bodices inspired by the glamorous and romantic dresses of the 1950s. Each dress is designed and hand crafted in the UK using the skills and techniques of contemporary couture, with styles ranging from short and flirty with frothy petticoats to glamorous long, flowing gowns with delicate lace and beaded bodices.
Finik’s London returns to the National Wedding Show this season with their feminine and romantic collection of lightweight wedding gowns made from fine tulle, luxurious silk and delicate French lace complimented with beads. The collection is inspired by classical vintage looks and beautiful textiles featuring elegant and flattering designs, low cut backs and illusion necklines.
Joining the line-up at Olympia, Natalia Misslin’s 2016 ready-to-wear collection, and her individually designed dresses, delicately adds lightness, transparency and movement to her signature ethereal bias-cut bridal gown. Natalia subtly uses different techniques, ranging from appliqué, embroidery, beading and hand-printing to hand-painting with different fabrics such as silk chiffon, lace and silk crepe to create unique garments.
Taking centre stage at all three shows for spring 2016 are award-winning bridal boutiques and retailers Allure Bridals, Alfred Angelo, Nigel Rayment and Debenhams.
Blending rich fabrics such as satin and lace with decadent beading and detailing, and combining the comfort of the patented Allure Bridals construction, Allure Bridals creates designs to make every bride look and feel exquisite. Allure Bridals offers brides four beautiful collections, each with their own unique style: Allure Bridals, Allure Romance, Allure Couture and Allure Women, its award-winning plus size collection.
The Alfred Angelo Collection brings fresh, contemporary touches to traditional styling. Alfred Angelo will be showcasing three stunning 2016 collections on the catwalk: Sapphire, Modern Vintage and the popular Disney Fairy Tale collection. With couture-inspired styling and lavish embellishment, the Sapphire collection is for the bride who wants ultimate red-carpet glamour, while the Modern Vintage Collection takes inspiration from the past, turning something old into something new.
Debenhamswill once again showcase a beautiful bridal range together with collections of bridal lingerie, bridesmaids’ dresses, groomswear and Mother of the Bride attire. With pieces from the likes of Jenny Packham No.1, Phase Eight and Coast, which are both stylish and affordable, Debenhams provide inspiration for the entire bridal party.
Nigel Rayment Boutique London– Manchester is excited to bring the 2016 collections from around the world to the National Wedding Show catwalk including UK fashion institutions such as John Charles, Ian Stuart and Condici and new boutique designers Carla Ruiz and Luis Civit. Nigel Rayment will also showcase headpieces from the 2016 collection from Nigel Rayment Couture.
Cad & The Dandy, Young’s Hire, Moss Bros, Peter Posh and Slater will offer inspiration for the man of the moment. Showcasing the latest groomswear from blue hues and traditional tuxedos to rustic tweed and contemporary lounge suits, the Catwalk Show will present suits for all styles.

Taking centre stage at Olympia, Cad & The Dandy will showcase its hire-wear and ready-to-wear tailoring made from the finest British cloths. Cad & The Dandy has rapidly grown to become the biggest and most fashion forward tailors on this historic street. Since its inception in 2008, the company has managed to retain the craft and skill that has been synonymous with Savile Row while ensuring that the experience is a far less intimidating one than the traditional houses.
Cad & The Dandy make suits worn by some of the world’s most stylish men – the client list includes rock and roll royalty to actual royalty. The fresh approach has gathered pace in the wedding sphere where grooms want to look as good as the Bride on the big day yet in the knowledge that the suit they commission will go on to last a lifetime.
New this Season, Young’s Hire will showcase the Blue Slim Fit Tailcoat, a contemporary choice for the big day. Featuring a slimmer cut, narrow lapels and flat fronted trousers, worn with Young’s slim fit shirt, this style offers a modern twist on traditional wedding tails. With first-class formal outfits and matching accessories, every groom will find the complete choice to look their best.
With lounge suits becoming a more popular choice for grooms, Moss Bros has taken note. The new Moss 1851 Sky Blue Sharkskin is a lighter shade than the typical grey suit, with the weave of the fabric giving it a smooth finish. Also offering a flattering tailored fit, the Moss 1851 Navy Blue three-piece, it is a perfect option for a classically stylish suit; both styles are available for hire and retail, making the option of matching suits even easier.
Tweed is a big look for Peter Posh in 2016. Made in the UK, their new tweed waistcoat collections adds new alternate look to their extensive range of menswear, creating a stunningly stylish and unique look. Blues and greys strong colours this year in Suits, all of which can be worn with tweed waistcoat options. As well as the tweed collection, Peter Posh has added two new prestige lounge suits (silver grey and navy) to its growing collection.
The all-important finishing touches on this season’s catwalk show will be provided by the National Wedding Show’s dream team – celebrity hair stylist Cinta Miller and International make-up artist Ariane Poole – who will create the latest bridal hair and make-up trends to complement each look on the runway.
In between each catwalk show, visitors can hear from plus-size model and TV presenter Nina Blakemore, who returns to the National Wedding Show with her body confidence workshops which include essential advice on everything from how to hold your bridal bouquet and achieve the perfect pose for the camera to how to work your wedding dress, as well as offering advice for bridesmaids, mother of the bride and the groom.
