The idyllic New Forest is one of the first destinations in the country to open its doors with a showcase of the best wedding venues for couples who want to tie the knot.

Steeped in romance, heritage and charm, its unspoilt landscape of stunning forest and coast locations make picture-perfect backdrops. From world-class luxurious five-star venues to intimate hideaways, there is a venue to suit every style, taste and budget.

And now you can visit your choice of 21 of its best wedding venues as they open their doors on Sunday 24 February to welcome all couples who are planning a special celebration. There is no need to make a booking, the beauty of the event is that you can just turn up on the day.

Each venue will have its licensed rooms set up for a civil wedding/partnership ceremony and function rooms prepared for a reception between 10am to 5pm on the showcase day – which is perfectly timed close to Valentines Day!

Every couple booking their wedding as a result of going to the showcase can enter a prize draw to win a fabulous Sen Hen Spa Experience for six at four-star Careys Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst.

The New Forest is only 90 minutes from London Waterloo and yet a million miles away in terms of pure escapism. Its quintessentially English countryside is home to ponies, cattle and deer which roam over wild heathland and through shaded glades. For wedding guests, there is a wide choice of accommodation including cosy B&Bs, characterful self-catering cottages and every category of hotel.

If you’re looking for something different you can even get married at beautiful Exbury Gardens with its world-famous Rothschild collection of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias, as well as a romantic wisteria-covered pagoda and tranquil cascades to a riverside setting. Or for a touch of heritage, tie the knot at Beaulieu’s historic Domus where the Cistercian monks who founded its abbey wandered through its serene cloisters.
