Ten wedding venues from far and wide set to amaze and astound you

From marrying in a Chilean volcano, to tying the knot in a space balloon 100,000ft above the earth, couples looking for somewhere a little different to say "I do" will be intrigued by this list of unusual wedding venues.

Recent research has shown that since 21st April, when wedding restrictions began to lift, searches for 'unusual wedding venues' has risen by more than 26%. In the last 12 months, the search term has been used more than 10,500 times.

In response to these findings, engagement ring specialists Seven Stone have shared a list of non-conventional wedding venues for couples seeking an alternative wedding setting.

The world's most unusual wedding venues

1. In a cave with the world's longest aisle at Carnglaze Cavern, Cornwall

Walk the 80m aisle and take your vows beside the crystal clear blue green lake in front of 40 guests.

2. At a yoga retreat by the Great Wall of China

The Brickyard Retreat at Mutianyu Great Wall can accommodate weddings of up to 160 guests.

3. In a space balloon, 100,000ft above the earth

Set to launch in 2024, Space Perspective in Florida will be offering engaged couples the chance to hire one of its space balloons for around £91,000.

7. Above the Artic Circle in an igloo hotel in Sweden

The ice hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden offers weddings in the ice gallery, starting from £3,600. Or the wilderness wedding package, with arrival by dog sled and use of the honeymoon cabin, starts from £8,083.

Prices start from as little as £350 for an underwater wedding at Captain Slate’s diving school.

10. Inside a Chilean volcano in the Patagonian rainforest
